I must inform you that there are no lolis today, but walking away would be a very bad idea and it would spoil fun for everyone, especially you. This anthology is something I managed to put my hands on some times ago, and I even had the pleasure (not to mention the heavy burden) of translating it (not in english)!
This is one of the best monster girls collection out there, because almost every single one of those authors is worth the five stars, the variety is good and it's by far better than the sequels. Yes, there are two other issues of Hyakky Yakou but they are barely worth a mention. But let's get to the good stuff!
Z-ton opens the book with a short and nice introduction on what we're about to experience and then the finest story of the bunch, at least in my opinion. A graceful and stern centaur warrior (it's useless to specify that all monsters are females) loves to raise the morale of the troops in a very special way, giving all herself to the soldiers... I love centaurs, really. They're probably my favourite kind of monster girls, even if it lacks originality (ah, if you only know what I would do to her).
Then Toumasu delights us with a couple of -sweeter than honey- bees, that are just a warm up for their horny queen. The style is unique and extremely good; too bad that in the moment we see her in action, it's already over. It is but a tease.
Follows Takatsu Keita with a cute and mischievous sphynx, this is the closest you will get to loli here, that just does what sphynxes do: riddles. The reward for answering correctly is really worth a try, especially as her riddles do not seem very difficult...
It's now the turn of a bizarre tentacle girl from the hand of Gozz, her kind is called shokushu girl (that's just the Japanese term for tentacle erotica), probably just to differentiate her from the other tentacle girl called -you won't believe this- tentacle girl. But we will get to her later. She's nice and kind, but be careful not to overdo or you will find a bad surprise at the checkout.
Next there's a quick and easy rendez vous with a mermaid. It's finely drawn and we get to see a little more of mermaids anatomy, her partner seems to enjoy her a lot and probably I would do too, even if I wonder what she smells like.
The last two stories are from Bang-You and Mitsugi, respectively following the intercourse of a southern bourse alraune and the tentacle girl mentioned earlyer. The first one is just like a normal alraune... only taller and masculine with a jungle like scent, instead of cute and sweet loli-shota-trap-whatever. The tentacle girl is very different from the first one, less gentle and talkative; she just wraps around your body and violate you in every way, obviously making you wish for her to never stop.
There's actually one last illustration from Katzeh, listed as an eighth story, but it's really just a single whole page picture which is kind of messy but with an interesting style. The actual story is really just two pages of chaotic and horrendous narration (at least in english). Translating the script drove me insane, and anyway I could not make sense of it.
Then there's abundant space left for the afterwords. Some are interesting, some other less... it's a good thing anyway to read something by the authors and get a little closer to the making of the opera. The book is a concentrate of fine art, with different styles and approaches to the theme; an excellent starting point even for those approaching for the first time to monster girls.
