I would love to talk about this delicious little doujin, but there is a more urgent issue of which I must speak first. Google translate managed to actually translate something! Mind blowing, I know. Since I could not find any information about this book, the first move was to carve something useful from the japanese title. After feeding it to the worst translate-machine ever know, confident that it would just spit out some useless broken-translation, you can imagine my surprise when i read "Growth record of rorierufu and lizardman shota"; exactly what this story is about. Well, I have some doubts about the rorierufu part, but that's probably just an ugly romanization of loli elf. It's still pretty accurate (to think it could translate the word shota!).
Here you have a work of his majesty Abubu: a lifelong diary about a couple of extremely close... friends? Siblings? Brothers in law? I don't know exactly, but they are indeed a very cute duo, and they get beautifully closer while growing up. This is also a chance to learn something about reptile genitalia.
Age progression is depicted in a very realistic way: from the shameless childhood to the awkwardness of adolescence, with it's changes inside and outside the body. The maturity to overcome such embarassment and get even closer than before. The curiosity of sex and what it entails. Love.
Even if someone could disagree, I think this is not even the highest quality he can reach (and already achieved with other works), but none the less it's still exceptional and deserves a top score even not at his best. He's just that good. The art is clean and somewhat sketched; too bad we cannot benefit of his great colouring skills.
