Hentai can be sexy, can be funny and can teach a lot of things too. Chitsu Hakai-kei Joshi is a very educative title for instance.
Just let me warn you that some scenes in this manga can be quite hard, somehow guroish, so if you really can't stand it, it's better if you avoid it. Personally I don't like guro, but the light tones of the scenes and the heavy censoring made it way more ironic than disturbing, as it's it obvious intent. And, if you're gonna skip this one, you'll miss all its wisdom as well.
Our protagonist is Rin, and her hobby is to stick things inside her pussy. No, it's not weird, it's a perfectly normal hobby. That said, you shouldn't assume that she's underage because her age is censored, it's just a matter of privacy.
After her introduction, we get to the informative -and obviously main- part of this doujin. I'm gonna make a short summary of the very useful things that you'll learn reading it:
1 - putting parasistic crustaceans into your pussy isn't safe
2 - especially to let them enter your womb
3 - to pierce your womb with a screwdriver isn't safe either
4 - that you should always censor the M of
The doujin is made of two parts, in the first one Rin has some very nasty experiences with crustaceans, as you can guess from my list, while in the second she enjoy the fun of being assaulted by a chikan (the classic Japanese train maniac) while holding a coca bottle in her vagina.
RH minus' art is pretty essential, and I would say that I've preferred this style to a more detailed and realistic ones for such themes as light guro. Anyway, we're obviously not looking at the highest peaks of drawings you'll ever see in a doujin. Nonetheless, it's based on fun, originality and a good amount of weirdness rather than feminine or artistic appeal.
In its niche genre it's a very enjoyable read, to relax and have a good laugh before the next heavy

Earlier today, while chosing what to review, I was wondering what qualifies something as hentai. It's certainly not the mere presence of sex and even less the simple nudity, or many of the common mangas for an adult audience would be considered hentai (with extreme annoyance of the prudish readers, I'm sure). Perhaps the focus on the erotic aspects is the discriminant, but some of the best hentai manga and doujin have good stories that go beyond that, or doesn't even involve sex. Then it occurred to me that hentai is less a genre and more a simple convention, useful for idiotic people to shame and avoid some topics, and for the others to get easy access to the good stuff. So, even not nude drawings could be considered hentai? In my opinion yes, with the right innuendo and mood, without even showing explicit contents a story could be considered erotic and therefore hentai. I'm obviously talking about the use of the term in western countries, given that in Japan there are completely different conventions. This just to say that the derogatory shade of the term couldn't be more volatile.
Does this argument have something to do with today review? Yes and no. Hiroaki Samura is a great artist well known for his masterwork Blade of the Immortal, a gruesome and superb story of a samurai trying to regain his mortality (yup, that's not a typo), peculiar for the extremely realistic art style of the whole opera. As you can learn from the afterwords in this very book is that Samura, at some point in his career, was obsessed by the desire to boast the title of torture artist; if this artbook is a monument to that dream is for posterity to judge.
What we've got here is an amazing piece of art as Samura's drawing skills leave me speechless. Every illustrations stands for itself as there's obviously no plot, but there are a couple of extremely short written stories and you can sometimes see the progression of a scene between two or three pages. I must warn you that (especially close to the end) contents tend to get rather graphic, switching from torture to explicit gore without warning, but if you can stand hardcore contents -not much worse of what you can see in common mangas like Blade of the Immortal- you should look at this just for its artistic value.
So, is this hentai or not? If yes, even the guro it contains? Actually, I could see this work more accepted outside as a not erotic artbook, since the erotic feeling would make it feel morbid and -for someone- disturbing. Nevertheless there's a lot of people (well, at least I'm sure about one) recognizing and enjoying even the sexual aspects of this masterpiece.

There's a total of three short stories and some random illustrations; I do not know what this Medina girl did in her past, but she get a good share of punishment in each of them. From being used as a serving dish for a dessert, stuffed right into her womb, to something way more humiliating and painful... although it's difficult to imagine. There's a lot of abuse and rape in the first two chapters, edging from some sort of consent to mind breaking, which flows into somewhat gory stuff (how explicit it is really depends on your sensibility, let's just say there are not flying bowels and such).
Unlike many other collections, there isn't an artist that drags down the quality of the whole work since they all mantain an appreciable standard. There's not even much of a difference between styles (don't get me wrong, there's obviously a noticeable difference, but sometimes you find some godlike art followed by extremely simplified designs). Too bad for the many black pages and fillers that subtract a good ten pages from the real number.
